This Privacy Statement applies to individuals who choose to use Stripe to make payments, including pension scheme members, beneficiaries, ex-members, spouses, relations, or other connected parties.

When using Stripe, your banking and payment details are collected and processed directly by Stripe. Trafalgar House Pensions Administration Limited (Trafalgar House) and the pension scheme on whose behalf we act do not hold, process, or have access to any of your banking or payment details.

2. Data Controller and Data Processing

Stripe acts as the Data Controller for any personal and payment data you provide when making a payment. This means Stripe is responsible for collecting, processing, and safeguarding your data in accordance with their own privacy policies and legal obligations.

  • Trafalgar House and the pension scheme do not process or control payment data.
  • All transactions and payment details are handled securely by Stripe.
  • Use of the Stripe service is subject to Stripe’s own Privacy Policy, which you should review before proceeding.

3. Data Collected by Trafalgar House

Trafalgar House may record details of your payment status (such as confirmation that a payment has been made) for reconciliation and administration purposes. However, this does not include any banking or card details.

The personal data we may process in relation to your payment includes:

  • Your name
  • The payment amount and reference details
  • The date of the transaction

This data is processed solely to update records and ensure payments are correctly allocated. It is not shared with any third parties except where required by law.

4. How Stripe Uses Your Data

When making a payment through Stripe, you will be required to provide banking or payment details directly to Stripe. Stripe may collect and process:

  • Your payment card or bank details
  • Billing address and contact information
  • Transaction history

Stripe processes this information in accordance with their own privacy policies and security protocols. Trafalgar House and the pension scheme do not have access to this data.

Since Stripe acts as the Data Controller for your payment information, you should contact Stripe directly if you wish to:

  • Request data deletion or restrict processing
  • Raise any concerns about how your payment data is handled

If you prefer not to use Stripe, you can make a payment via bank transfer instead. To arrange a direct bank transfer, please contact Trafalgar House for details on how to make a payment outside of Stripe.

  • Trafalgar House and the pension scheme take no responsibility for the security of transactions processed through Stripe.
  • Any concerns or disputes regarding payment security must be raised directly with Stripe.

8. Acceptance of Terms

By choosing to proceed with a payment through Stripe, you confirm that:

  • You have read and understood this Privacy Statement.
  • You accept Stripe’s terms and privacy policy as the Data Controller.
  • You understand that Trafalgar House and the pension scheme do not have access to or process your payment details.
